The flowers are big, cream-white on the tip of long receptacles. I don´t have official informations, but it seems this is a night flower, maybe scented. It probably atracts bats or moths.
This is a characteristic species of the rocky fields on the central brazilian mountain tops, so if you are gonna grow this, provide it lots of sun, white sand soil - salt free - and average temperatures, preferably with cold nights (frost free, though). Don´t worry about watering, as long as you keep it dry during the winter. It might apreciate some air humidity at nights too
