So I specified that when I ordered a replacement. The replacement tree (now 4 yrs old) doesn't have the 3 ft + long, weeping branches the other tree did (was 15 yrs old). I'm wondering if I have the correct variety. It stays green all year here, and the leaf litter creates a natural mulch. I get many compliments from neighbors on the tree even though this one is not as well formed as the previous one.

Like all Australian acacias, the seed has a hard coating and germinates best if boiling water is poured over the seeds before sowing.
