It gets morning sun and shade the rest of the day. The location I chose had river rock built up over the years. So I mixed it with palm soil. It seems like a slow grower. 4 leaves per year. But leaves are getting bigger and bigger each time. I didnt wrap the plant during last year's cold winter. It didnt seem it minds. I recommend this palm to everybody!
