This is a youjiro type created by Dr.Yosh...Read Moreiaki Yoneda from hybridizing Ipomoea nil with Ipomoea purpurea and backcrossing to Ipomoea nil and ideally should be listed as such.
The plant is genetically mostly Ipomoea nil and the sepals look like Ipomoea nil so in lieu of being able to enter it reflecting the full parentage,I would like to suggest that this would more accurately be listed as an Ipomoea nil >which it most closely resembles,rather than leaving the epithet completely blank.
A completely empty epithet tends to strongly imply that nothing about the species is known,when there is ample evidence provided by the hybridizers website and the exacting features of the sepals to indicate that the species most accurately reflects Ipomoea nil.
