I have not grown this plant, but a neighbor has a big beautiful tree in the front yard.

The East Indian mango is cultiva...Read Moreted and it also grows wild in Jamaica, West Indies - my birth country. It is one of the 3 most popular mangoes on the island. The others are The Bombay and The Julie (St. Julian).

Not only it is a very sweet and very juicy Mango but it is a good bearer of medium to large size fruits.

The only drawbac...Read Morek of this mildly fragrant Mango is that it is very fibrous.

This cultivar could possibly be a descendent of the Indian lineage but it's ancestry has nothing to do with the eastern part of India.
