My first introduction to the hoya was with Hoya Bella and Hoya Carnosa. That was about 30 years ago. The Hoya Bella had the sweetest, mos...Read Moret delicate fragrance. The blossoms were like petite white jewels, touched with burgundy. The Carnosa had large light burgundy jewels, touched with dark burgundy. Beautiful........BUT, at night the fragrance was the most horrid scent you'd ever wish to experience.
At this point, I have the Carnosa, 2 varieties of Varigated Hoyas, and a rope Hoya.
This is my dilema......for many years I had been searching for a Hoya Bella to replace the one I had many years ago. Unable to find one, until I was visiting my daughter in Boca, and went to her Lowes. I flew home with a hanging basket of Hoya Bella. 2 years later it blossomed.....BUT no white jewels or sweet fragrance.. ..the blossoms are burgundy and no sweet scent. I'd REALLY like to get my hands on the white, sweet Hoya.

This hoya likes to grow on the dry side in dappled light.
