Peperomia 'Ruby Glow'

I grabbed up this UNIQUE plant the instant I saw it at Lowe's. Emailed the company on the generic "assorted succulents" tag, Altman plan...Read Morets, for some info on it, and this is the information that they were kind enough to send me after I described the plant as "the leaves look like swollen tacos with burgundy on the back of them, and a vine from it with what looks like a rat's tail on the end". I requested an I.D. and care info:
"That would be a Peperomia graveolens. You're right - it's a great plant. The last part of the name, graveolens, means "bad smelling" which refers to that "rat tail" you mentioned. That is actually the flower spike. The flowers are yellowish white and nearly microscopic, but when they are in bloom, if you bend down and take a sniff, it's pretty nasty! Thankfully, you have to get that close fo it for it to be offensive - the plant isn't going to smell up the room. As far as hardiness, it shouldn't go below 40 degrees F, Regular houseplant conditions suit it fine. Make sure it gets good bright light, as direct sun will burn it, and let the soil dry out a bit between waterings to avoid rot." After I rec'd this, I expressed my concern that it could be toxic to pets, with it's need to basically be a "sometimes house plant". They replied that they are not aware of any toxic issues with this plant.
