From what I read and videos I seen, can be a bit picky of a plant, especially outdoors (uncontrolled environment). However, if you wait for the flowers to die off, it is a very easy plant to propagate. Using growth hormone, take a leaf cutting as close to the main stem as possible. Use some good draining soil and make a high humidity environment. I got this information from "tropical plant party" on youtube. The gentleman there has a bit of good information for those of you that want one and will get one or have one already.

I love this plant but it really suffered with our cold winter (low 40's for several days straight) this year. I was so mad. This plant ...Read Morestruggled for about 6 months and then finally took. Right before a cold spell I noticed it was FULL of buds so I covered it. After just a couple of days the buds were brown and within a couple more days the plant looked dead. It is just now coming back but only very close to the ground, not on the branches.
