It is now about 3 feet by 5 feet and all summer gave off the most beautiful fragrance (citronella-like) which wafted into the house on the breeze. I am not sure how well it will winter over in this area (7a), but I would definitely buy another one in the spring if it does not make it. I made a flower essence (hippy-dippy, yeah, but so rewarding) from its flowers and got a sense of absolute love and protection from it.

Its many good qualities include: Tough plant, vigorous grower, easy to root cuttings, pleasant scent, many flowers (in our climate) in early spring. Occasional aphid infestations are its main drawback. Gets leggy in the winter and needs to be pruned back pretty hard before the rains start in December or the leaves weigh down with water and the branches break.

It works well in group plantings to help prevent the over-whelming foliage effect of many types of scented pelargoniums. Flowering is very seldom to non-existent.
