A lot of repeat blooms--it is really a dynamo at churning out more and more blooms. Stems are strong. It has lots of morning sun and some afternoon sun off and on in my garden. The summers here are very hot, 90s and 100s, but it carries on beautifully. It comes out early in the spring and this year I still had blooms at Christmas. The color is complex; it is basically deep pink with salmon, apricot and gold overtones, not the leasrt bit insipid. I am amazed that I don't see it around more often. I put mine in about 20 years ago when I saw it doing very well in my neighbor's garden and it is still as hardy as an athlete.

Requires good winter protection in areas where winter temps drop below freezing, and still may die pretty far back, even to the ground. It will still grow to 3-4' the following season.
