All in all I would have to conclude that the blended versicolor type traits are too weak to be from anything other than Butterfly as Butterfly is aurea x candida, but it the versicolor traits show up a bit more strongly than I would have suspected leaving me to believe that Isabella has 1/3 or less versicolor genes. As Isabella's parentage is unknown to me.... I am basing this on Isabella's overal flower shape and seed pod being mostly suaveolens in nature. Generally a hybrid with 1/2 versicolor genes will show a much longer and thinner seedpod than Isabella does. It has also been my experience that a hybrid with more than 1/2 versicolor genes from the first cross generally has a much more decidedly versicolor type calyx. As Dr.D and Amber Rose being 1/2 Ecuador pink both show a clearly versicolor calyx, albeit Dr.Sues is 1/3 versicolor and was the seed bearer on those crosses. Enough rambling, thanks for posting the picture for us Tig.
