Evergreen & blooming through winter here in an east facing position & like all the Imperials very cold & heat tolerant. Sheet moss in planters & leaf mulch in ground keeps them blooming in the snow as long as watered through dry spells & heat. Self sows & comes true though as F2 hybrid it shouldn't. Trim back spent blooms & scatter in garden, feed in spring & they may become a delight in your garden as they've been for years in mine.

I will continue to welcome them into my garden - as volunteers, or purchased in 6-packs!

This is my second year starting these from seed, and though I was quite pleased with the blooms of this free flowering cultivar, I found the seeds to germinate poorly for me and the seedlings to be a bit tender & spindly.
