Damask, Old Garden Rose 'Leda'

Of unknown descent, but in cultivation since at least 1827, this beautiful trouble free damask rose is possessed of a lovely sweet fragra...Read Morence, The milk white blooms tipped in red are instantly recognizable, in bud or open with their red edges & exquisite button eye.

I have grown it in the open ground and am now trying it in a container to see how it does. It has a somewhat upright habit to roughly 3 feet, well clothed with dark green leaves.

The name "white Leda" is a recent, North American term, since the pink sport, Pink Leda, is for some reason grown here more often.
