Crown is more sensitive to cold than other hardier varieties planted within a few feet of it, as winter '13/14 killed it to the ground. Now have a mere three new chutes from a 7-gallon root ball - one step above dead. Blooms can completely shift to solid blue if soil conditions aren't right. A complete waste of time for color and bud hardiness and hence not recommended.
