Foliage is gray and bristly forming dense rosettes of lobed leaves. Flowers are 1-2 inches wide and soft yellow with slightly darker stamens. Plants are short lived but will often self-seed if conditions are right.
Will bloom first year if started early indoors. Beware of voles and rabbits, they like this plant and ate mine before it bloomed.
