Beautiful blooms, I had mine planted in a location that received sun from about 8 am until about 2 pm. It did good, but seemed to bloom a...Read More bit later in the season than other Hibiscus I've seen growing in more sun in my neighbors yards. Mine started blooming August 25th, around the same time I started seeing damage from what I later found out was Hibiscus sawfly larvae. I've found out that if hand control is not enough, it can be treated with a product that contains spinosad. I'm not sure what this product is, and I probably won't use it unless it's safe for other wildlife. The larvae are often confused with caterpillars, which is what I thought they were at first. Being a butterfly lover I was sceptical about squishing them, until I saw they were not growing larger and they were skeletonizing the leaves. Now I will be ready for the buggers next season! Hopefully I will be able to find a way to control them organically.

Fantasia is an excellent grower for me. She is a very sturdy well bred hibiscus and has the gorgeous large Pink flowers, which some call Lavender.
