The beans are large, flattened, and bumpy, a deep purple color, with an unusually delicious flavor. Good raw, but even better cooked (they turn bright green when cooked). Texture was better if picked young, but even the older 8 inch ones were still nutty and quite tasty. I'm going to order this one again this year.
