Stays where it is planted and i have yet to see examples of spreading in established specimens i have observed. Very commonly planted here in Phoenix. Would agree that height averages around 3' instead of 6ft.
Not quite sold on ultimate cold tolerance ( have heard info. ranging from 26 to 28F) but id imagine it should return from the roots if burnt to the ground, as long as the ground did not freeze. .
Being in the Shrimp-Plant family, id imagine one could start new plants from cuttings. Will update with results from doing just this over the Summer.
