We thought for sure that with that sort of maltreatment, another year for Thunderbolt was unlikely. Well, there it was, at the beginning of the year, showing the first signs of a new set of leaves. It didn't grow at all in size (unlike my other hostas) but it's survived (like hostas are apt to do).
