Even though the flower is unique, I find this plant to be a terrible grower. I have purchased a total of 3 plants from reputable growers...Read More, and have lost them all. I do know how to grow siberian irises and grow many other cultivars very successfully. I think the fact that it's a broken colored flower has something to do with the fact that the plant itself seems weak.
I know of several other people that have had similar experiences with this one. I do know some people that grow it, but it has taken them several tries with several different plants to get one to stick. Even if they do get one to take, the plant is usually a lot smaller and slower growing than most of the other cultivars that they grow.
