It's a wide, white cloud at the rear of the garden view in August, most attractive and cheerful. I would not want to be without it.

It's tough and adaptable, but not sufficiently drought tolerant for use in xeriscaping.
I prefer Kalimeris pinnatifida for a similar garden role. Tough, adaptable, drought tolerant, tolerates partial shade, needs no maintenance, self-supporting, has a longer season of bloom, foliage looks good at all times, even the dried stalks look good into winter. It's longer blooming, needs less maintenance, and has better foliage than Boltonia 'Snowbank'.

Tall 4' - Plant 24 "apart. Masses of starlike white flowers atop sturdy plants beginning in the late summer and continuing until and after frost.
Shorter than the species; seed collecting will not yield plants true to the parent. Divide the rhizomatous roots in spring to increase stock.
