The decision not to plant this variety again was every year we have had big problems with blossom end rot which ruined the plants potential production. Over the past 3 years we have planted about 25 different varieties and only had one other variety (Opalka ) that had any blossom rot at all, and it was nowhere near the problem we had with Giant Valentine.
