They are great for canning as another poster said. They are more acidic than contemporary tomatoes. So when canning one doesn't have to add vinegar or lemon juice, which just seems wrong.
My neighbor gave me three of them this spring, so I will come back to this thread and let you all know how they did.

My family has grow...Read Moren it for years as their best canning tomato because of its abundant crop of 2-3 inch tomatoes. They fit perfectly into the narrow mouth bottles. The plants I grew last year seemed to be semi-determinant as most fruit seemed to come ripe at once, but it still had some tomatoes coming ripe later in the season. My 4 moscow plants got so loaded with fruit that they bent over and smashed my large sized wire tomato cages. My family values this tomato for its flavor as well. It does very well in the Northern Utah climate.
