It occurs naturally along damp ditches and roadsides and makes a nice addition to the bog garden. Mine is growing in the bog area on the perimeter of my man-made pond. I have only one plant and it has not produced viable seed that I am aware of. I collected some seeds last fall from another plant several miles away and have spread it in the same area of my bog garden in hopes of producing another plant to cross-pollinate the existing one.
