It is often confused and 'Jean Watson' ends up mascarading under the label which was introduced in 1948 and is another Mcdade intro. The difference between the two I have been told is only in color. 'Jean' 1943 is redder in overtones as it is a orange-red and pale orange bicolor sepal daylily, and 'Jean Watson' 1948 is pale orange and pale yellow bicolor polychrome sepal daylily. They are Heirloom Classics! anyone I end up getting is good enough for me! and am hoping to get one this coming year!
