The color of the new growth is a pale yellowish chartreuse that makes a lovely contrast against the darker mature needles. The effect is as much silvery blue as it is gold. Altogether one of the loveliest Spruces. 'Argenteospica' looks similar but is less full and regular than this more formal specimen.
