It seems to actually do well over winter, so it may just be the heat/humidity combo which is doing it in. I grow another Sunsparkler sedum, Dazzleberry, which has thrived in the same conditions. Sedum Angelina and sedum Tetractinum, as well, have thrived in similar (or much worse) conditions in my garden. It may be the clay soil, or it may be the heat and humidity, or both. For whatever reason, Lime Zinger is just not working out for me. That's a shame, because it's a very pretty little sedum.

It...Read More is far enough away that it gets early day sun for about 5 hours. The willow has an extensive and superficial root system so it takes a forgiving plant to grow around it and this one is perfectly happy there. It is very dense and has spread slowly in the 2 years I've had it. It has choked out another sedum ground cover that was not very hardy at that sight. Invariably, when people are looking at my beds, they stop dead to look at it. Even guests that are only humoring me by looking at my beds ask what it is. If it doesn't spread more next year, I'm buying several more. It is GORGEOUS!
