In zone 6B it freezes nearly to be ground but rebounds back to a tidy 3x3' size and cranks out 6-12 gigantic blooms per plant on new wood (slightly larger than a white rhododendron), but no more than a foot across. Its stems are slightly sprawling in nature but always point upward at the ends - unless there is a bloom full of rain beads, and then it flops somewhat but not all the way.
