JUBILEE (Pleas). One of the most famous Peonies in the world. Opens a beautiful pink which quickly fades to white. Its petals are very irregular in shape, being composed of a mixture of very wide and very narrow petals. Its blooms are among the largest in the world, sometimes exceeding eleven inches in diameter. This variety twice won the prize at the National Peony Show for the best six blooms in the exhibit, but, while it has great value as a cut flower and a show flower, it has no value at all on the landscape, for every plant must have support. $4.00.

JUBILEE (Pleas, 1908) - Double - White - Midseason. Tall. Fragrance not notable. Very large. Long, narrow petals, symmetrically arranged about a star-like center, white with a greenish tinge, and occasional pinkish flush on outer petals. Free-flowering. Long, weak stems. Good, light green, rather coarse foliage. An enormous, lacy, rather flat, fluffy flower of great beauty, but the stems are so weak it must always be staked to keep the immense blooms off the ground.
