If you have clay soil, you need to get it from a nursery that sells it on Poncirus Trifoliata or it will but be a waste of time. I believe that all Satsumas sold with Creekside Nursery tags on it, will be on Trifoliata.

This spring, the green branches had buds that looked like they wanted to sprout, but they weren't sprouting. As the days and weeks passed, I noticed the ends of the branches were dying back, simply drying out. I decided to wrap the plant in parafilm to prevent dessication.
Now, it's suddenly leafing out. So I'd say these conditions are probably right on the edge of what this plant can tolerate.
My plant has a trunk diameter at the base of a bit over one inch. A larger tree would have fared better. Had I covered it in row cover or something, it could have survived even colder temperatures.
