Panicle Hydrangea, Tree Hydrangea 'Little Lime'

I have 14 different varieties of hydrangea but Little Lime is my favorite and the best performer in my 5b Chicago suburban garden. It's ...Read Morea prolific bloomer and is breathtaking in it's second year in my garden. It doesn't wilt in the sun and doesn't get brown edges on the leaves like Endless Summer does. It's a beautiful little gem. The other hydrangea that's a close second is Pinky Winky. The only one that doesn't rate high on my list is Early Sensation. It's marginal, at best.

This Spring, it branched out well, the leaves are not anything special. But it does its job in hiding that well stem. Now, in June, it is about 3' wide x 2' tall, and the green blooms are opening around the "base" of the shrub. Nice, mannerly, was reasonable in cost. Not fussy. So far, so good! Nothing to get excited about, but low in demands.
