It takes about 3 years to reach flowering, and the plants go dormant over Summer, so its advised to raise the corms from seed in pots and plant them out at the start of the 3rd season.
They need no lifting or watering when dormant. I just grow some light herby plants like bedding Lobelia over them in Summer, they like it dryish over Summer i suspect.
The seeds needs cold Autumn and winter rains to germinate.
