Also, the plant will put energy into seed and not flowers. This plant blooms on new growth if you just never cut anything you will have like 2 flowers at the end of the year. However, if you do one hard deadheading you will get buds EVERYWHERE. I try to deadhead at least once a week to keep fresh growth happening throughout the year but that isn’t really necessary, just a strong deadheading once a year. Just remember cut down to a 1/4 inch above the first five leaf set. The pruning however is very easy at the beginning of the spring just take some clippers and go nuts. You don’t have to look at buds or knots or whatever so much just cut it like 2/3 down. Overall I love this plant because it gets covered in roses, I just think there is no such thing as a no maintenance rose.

I do however have an issue with the color.
The flower bud as a bright orange and the day they open they are indeed amber, but after the first day they turn pink and the flower last for quite a while. More often then not my shubs have many pink flower and just a few amber/orange ones.
