They have beautiful pu...Read Morerple accented foliage and attract bees, butterflies and birds. I live in zone 7 and was not sure about overwintering this plant. I had grown them in several containers. I chose not to dig up the tubers but brought the pots indoors and stored them in a cool semi-dark location. In early March I had new foliage emerging. I divided the tubers, repotted them, and took them outside. It's the end of April and they already have flower buds. I have not been a dahlia fan in the past but this one has won me over.
