'Torch Song' is a wonderful new hibiscu...Read Mores variety, and already one of our favorites. The flower is big at 7-9" in diameter, and the bush branches incredibly well. Of course each branch develops buds so the overall effect is to make 'Torch Song' a very prolific bloomer. 'Torch Song's' parents were 'Rainbow Christie' and 'Edna Bogart,' which resulted in an attractive, upright bush and large flowers. In summer heat, the flowers get bigger with more blue, and less of the ruffly pink edging. In winter, the flowers are smaller, but rufflier, with pink and white edging. For those who like the lavender and blue flowers, 'Torch Song' is one of the best at any time of year. Released from HVH in 2008.
