But it's a beautiful lavender, with a lit-from-behind quality that gives some lavender flowers an apparent inner glow. The plant is described a upright which is putting it mildly. Leggy and spindly would be more accurate. (I have two planted together in one pot for a fuller look.) The foliage is also rather coarse and weedy compared to some other Hibiscus. So why a positive rating. Simple. The plant blooms and blooms a lot. Sometimes in the dead of winter, on plants maybe 8" tall, it will open two or three blossoms at once. A very welcome display. The blossoms also last two and sometimes three days.Finally it seems less prone to whiteflies than some other Hibiscus I have. I only have about seven months experience with this variety and I will edit this review if I need to change my opinion, but so far I'm well pleased with this plant.
