I am successfully growing/propagating these beautiful plants by watering them one day after they become dry. When they were outside and it was 95-100 degrees here in Alabama, I sometimes watered them lightly daily. Now that they are in the house under grow lights for the winter, once every 3 to 5 days is enough. I don't drown them, just give them about 1/4 cup at a time. They are in well-draining perlite/grit/soil, next is a layer of weed-stop cloth, then a layer of charcoal granules and finally, pebbles in the bottom of the bowl. They're my favorite succulents out of the over 300 that I have. Good luck with yours!

Leaves succulent and cup-shaped. Wonderful looking plant and despite its tropical origins, does pretty well in a desert Mediterranean landscape in full sun.
