I've given away maybe 8 pups and have 2 that I let grow. Positives- easy, stunning, reproduces easily, very little water- monthly now. Negatives- can grow larger than you might want! Very spiky agave, with very neat ripples/waves in the leaf margins. Mine has developed nice color along the edges and tips of the leaves...Read More, at the base of the spines. I kept it in a pot this last winter, and it managed to survive 10 degrees for several nights. We also get quite a bit of rain in the winter, and this agave didn't get protected at all. There was heavy leaf damage, and I thought it might have died. It seems to be doing fine now. Maybe I'll put it in the ground this year, with excellent drainage, and hope the warmth of the ground will keep it in better condition this next winter.
