"This 1998 Werner Frosch hybrid, named for cypripedium grower Michael Weinert, is a small-growing hybrid created from a cross of two Chinese species, Cypripedium henryi and Cypripedium macranthos. The 10-12" tall stalks, adorned with pleated green leaves, are topped in late spring with a stunning purple and white pouch, backed by three dramatically striped purple and white sepals. Slightly alkaline soils work the best. (Hardiness Zone 5-7a)"
