The height and vigor are a testament to this fertility. First flowers arrived in early July for me in PA. The soft yellow tones reflect light really well, especially near dusk. It would be perfect in a Moon Garden. It is placed near a tall Canna with burgundy foliage, making a dramatic contrast. I look forward to multiplying this variety through division of the the tuber cluster. Source of this 1946 heirloom was Old House Gardens. A stunner, and my new favorite thing.

The tubers...Read More came through the winter well, and I planted this dahlia in a different area, with no other dahlias. It is next to a Pretoria canna and a black calla lily, as well as a cucumber plant and a dappled willow. The flowers are magnificent this year. It has an understated elegance and mild color that are just perfect in this setting, and it seems a little earlier to bloom than some others I grow. Highly recommended.
