This is a solid performing perennial for any shade garden. The foliage remains very attractive all season. I suggest wearing gloves if you have to handle this plant; the leaves are rather thistle-like. Update spring 2012: love it even more. I've had difficulty finding this variety, and I'm frustrated because I want more of them.
