We installed a 3-gal plant in early March 2009. By June it had grown to more than 6 feet in diameter; by November, it had reached about 8 ft in height, and about 10 ft in diameter. See the pix. Most advisers have told me to cut it back to 3 ft in early spring and maintain it at 6.
