The full white flowers are gorgeous and the shiny dark leaves are also attractive in flower arrangements. I think the scent has a slight coffee smell that I enjoy when I cut them and bring them in. We live on the Minnesota/ Canadian border and they survive the winters just fine, helped to bloom earlier than my other peonies, in another bed, because they are located over the warm ground of our septic system.
