After the first year it grew to about 2 ft tall and wide. By the third year, it easily reached 5 ft tall and wide, and it gets that size every year now. We do have mulch surrounding it, but only about 3 inches deep. This rose is always blooming from May to October here in Minneapolis. Some years it’s even still blooming into about the first week of November. A few cold nights into the 20s does not stop this plant from blooming; it does slow down, but doesn’t usually stop until it’s been in the 20s at night for longer than a week. Every spring the bottom third of its canes are still green. The harsh winters don’t even make it die all the way to the ground. Snow cover probably helps some with that.
