Might not plant it again if I had known the native range beforehand. This year, 2020, late spring rains, and the pruning of a neighbor's tree to allow more sun, have set it off. It's put on 3-4' of new growth, and right now (5/23/20) it's blooming profusely. Whitish blooms that turn deeper pink after the flowers have been open for a few days. I have lattice work attached to a redwood fence and it's woven among the lattice. West facing fence so brutally hot in summer. So far visited by Carpenter Bee, Black-tailed Bumble Bee, European Honey Bee, Anna's Hummingbird.I'm interested in the flowers for pollinators and the fruits for birds.
