It performs well, but does require lots of water and lots of spraying with insecticidal soap to control whiteflys/aphids/mites (as do all tropical hibiscus). Over-fertalization causes leaves to turn yellow and drop, which leads to the branch needing to be severely pruned back. I can prune this shrub anywhere between March - August in my area as needed, but the plant looks best when pruned on March 1. Got to be willing to put in the maintenance to enjoy.
