These blooms begin in midsummer, and if cut or deadheaded promptly, will repeat late in the season. Colorful and long-lasting, they are the result of years of breeding by Jan Verschoor, who selected 'Fairytale' for its floriferousness, comapct and uniform growth habit, and interesting color combination
The foliage is silvery-green and quite compact on this plant, which reaches a uniform height of 16 inches and width of 14 inches, with a neat, tidy appearance. The presence of V. spicata in its parentage slows down the potential for spread, which both keeps it neat and reduces the need for dividing every few years. Give 'Fairytale' well-drained soil in full sun and expect a long, very colorful season! Zones 4-8
