Flowers on old wood. Prune after flowering. Flowers and swelling buds can be damaged by cold.
Flowers open over an extended period.
Yellow small fruit is described as bitter and inedible but it is used in the East.
I have been watching a nearby espaliered plant for the last few years. Flowers here during mild winters. Flowering is delayed during colder seasons. Fragrant, delicate and beautiful, the blossoms are cataloged as red, but they are fuchsia to me.
