It also growing happ...Read Moreily in the display garden at the Berkeley Horticultural Nursery which is only fitting as it is named after Mr. George Budgen, who was the founder of Berkeley Horticultural Nursery in about 1922.
It is my limited experience in growing these, that they can take much lower temps than zone 11. I have grown some for 2 years now under a lathe in zone 9b. If it is frosty, I toss a sheet over them. Some are considered more tropical than others.
Though I do not know the exact height 'George Budgen'
will top out at, the one I saw was a bigger one of about 5 feet.
