They are now bleached out, but still green at the base. One specimen that was accidentally mulched with a neighboring plant is still beautiful and green. It was lightly mulched with pine straw and the crown is healthy and dry. If it blooms this summer, I will upgrade my rating to positive.
Update Mar 2011, no blooms last summer, but I plan to feed them heavily this spring. Will post pics if they bloom this summer.

i love this plant-but it is subject to crown rot if over mulched
